Onsite Sewer

Environmental personnel regulate Onsite Sewage Disposal systems’ design, installation, and repair in accordance to Kentucky Regulations.

  • Onsite Sewage disposal system availability on any given lot is determined by a site evaluation that must be conducted by trained Health Department personnel or an engineer.
  • Persons interested in developing a piece of property that will not have access to a municipal sewer system connection should contact their Local Health Department Environmentalist prior to any development or alterations. In many cases it is important to have the site evaluation conducted prior to acquiring the land.
