On-Site Sewage Disposal and Septic Tank Pumping/Cleaning

  • Environmental personnel regulate onsite sewage disposal systems design, installations, and repairs in accordance to state regulations.  Sewage disposal systems availability on any given lot is determined by a site evaluation that must be conducted by trained health department personnel or an engineer.  Persons interested in developing a piece of property that will not have access to a municipal sewer system connection should contact their local Health Department Environmentalist prior to any lot development or alteration.  In many cases it is important to have a site evaluation conducted by the local Health Department prior to purchasing the land.
