Prenatal Care
Prenatal Care is the health care a woman receives during pregnancy. Major components of prenatal care are identification and early intervention of medical problems, anticipatory guidance, and supportive services. Maternity services are provided to any pregnant woman without a secondary payment source who is at or below 185% poverty or a K-Chip eligible person at or below 200% poverty level. Prenatal care includes visits by the obstetrician and nurse midwife, and appropriate laboratory tests and procedures. Delivery of the infant is arranged for at a contracted hospital. If you would like to schedule an appointment for prenatal care, please contact your local Health Department or you may contact (502) 484-3412 for more information. |
