Well child care is a preventive health screening for children and adolescents under the age of 21. Well child care is a chance for you as a parent to raise questions and concerns about your child’s development, behavior, nutrition, and general well being. It is essential that these exams be met in order to provide the most optimal well being of your child. Three Rivers is dedicated to promoting and improving the health, education, and well-being of infants, children, adolescents, families, and our communities.
What is included in a well child care visit:
*Medical history & physical exam
*Growth & Development checks
*Vision Screening
*Hearing Screening
*Nutrition Screening
*Lab testing including blood level & Hemoglobin
*Mental Health & risk behavior assessments
*Health education for parents & teens
*Immunizations
When does your child or adolescent need a well child care visit?
1 month
2 months

Every year from ages 3 through 21
Who will you see at your well child care visit?
Three Rivers has a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who visits each health center once a week. Also, there are nurses available at each health centers trained to perform well child care visits.
